Fashion line for rachel

I have to say, I like Rachel Zoe. I admit, I wasn't her biggest fan a few years ago, but ever since catching some old episodes of the Rachel Zoe Project, I've really begun warming to her. Even more importantly though, I love her sense of style. Her taste definitely isn't always my taste, but somehow it still works for me.
That being said, news has hit that she will be starting her own fashion line, the Rachel Zoe Collection. I'm not usually on board with most celeb's deluges into design, but I'm thinking (and hoping) Rachel's will be different (given that fashion is actually her career and not JUST a way to proliferate her name/brand). I guess time will tell...

And so it begins...

It's that time of year - the summer sales are starting/will be starting soon (which is definitely both a good and bad thing, but I won't start). Just purusing Net-a-Porter and found that before I knew it I had added a few pieces into my basket (funny how that happens). So although I probably won't hit 'checkout', I thought I'd share a few of my picks...and someone, please buy that ring before I do!

Tony's best dress

So I didn't exactly watch the Tony awards last night, but I did manage to see some photos from the event today and I thought this one stood out. I love Katie Holmes' look here (Giorgio Armani Privé). Though I do wish the dress what a bit longer, it's stunning, simple, and absolutely my style.

In a shoe mood

I have to admit, I'm not ALWAYS in a shoe mood. More often than not, I'm in a purse mood and I'm ALWAYS in a clothes mood. It's not that I don't want to buy new shoes, but nice shoes cost a lot and it seems like the types of shoes I'm drawn towards are "nice shoes" so I have to limit myself and usually find another area to divert my attention to (not that bags are cheaper in anyway, but somehow I can justify buying an expensive purse over buying an expensive pair of shoes). And when I say justify, I just mean that I don't feel as much guilt - not that I can actually defend my purchase in a court of law as to something I actually needed or anything...

Now to get back on topic, I thought I'd share some of the shoes I'm lusting over now. Can you see a theme emerging here? Ahhh, leather & wood wedges, so perfect for summer which has finally begun to show itself over here. I think my front runner right now is DVF pair, but I'm definitely not counting the others out yet (especially since a couple are a tad more affordable).

Kicking things off

Ok, so I guess you could say that I'm jumping on the bandwagon. There's really no other way of putting it - I'm not even going to try to attempt to deny it, and really…why would I? I have decided that I will test the waters and create a blog, so here it is! I know it doesn't look like much now, but just you wait :-)

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I have a soft spot for fashion - and shopping (they really go hand in hand don't they)? So that's what I'm going to try to center my postings around - though you will also be subject to some life ramblings every now and then as well. So enjoy and let me know what you think...
